TickeTrack and The Concept of Prepaid Golf

The founders of TickeTrack have extensive experience in the golf course industry. By merging their industry experience with technology, they have created a software product proven to be the most effective golf course marketing and revenue generating tool on the market. The TickeTrack team continually looks for ways to enhance the program’s functionality; keeping on par with today’s evolving technologies and constantly striving for ways to assist golf courses with their marketing strategies.

The concept behind TickeTrack was created by Al and Brad Peister of McLean-Peister Ltd, in 1993.  As golf course owners and managers, they believed the traditional golf course membership platform had run its course, and felt that while “Traditional Memberships” provided initial cash flow, they actually hindered growth and revenue.  Their theories led to the development of a software program called TickeTrack, and a better way to sell golf. 

In the process of developing TickeTrack, the founders installed and tested their prototype at the two family owned golf courses, Innerkip Highlands Golf Club and Merry-Hill Golf Club, both located in Ontario.  With the implementation of TickeTrack, the two courses proved the viability of both technology and theory. The success of TickeTrack allowed them to enter the industry with a product that truly delivered what the market needed - a better way to sell golf.

Compendium Industries: Blending Theory with Technology

In 2004, Viola Tyler, a software developer and owner of
Compendium Industries, was hired by Al and Brad to improve and expand the information and data processing aspects of the software, and to bring it up to par with evolving technologies and needs of golf course owners. Viola has been in the software development industry for over 20 years. Amongst other projects, she has developed a Back Office system for Financial Advisors in the Mutual Fund Industry, has developed an Inventory Control System for a province wide company, and a Quote and Job Costing system for custom millwright shops. Continued To Grow: TickeTrack Marketing Team launched in 2008

In 2008, TickeTrack clients were surveyed about which promotional items would be useful in helping them to promote the concept of prepaid rounds of golf to their customers. Feedback from this survey led to the development of TickeTrack branded divot tools, lanyards, door decals and coasters. By using this branding initiative, managers were now able to make golfers aware of how the TickeTrack system benefits them.

In a continued effort to help golf courses promote the TickeTrack concept, Viola recruited a core team of highly skilled colleagues to help develop a TickeTrack Marketing Team. Golf Marketing has become a highly competitive and expensive industry, as an increasing number of courses realize the importance of marketing in their long term business goals. TickeTrack is excited to offer this new added value to clients.

The TickeTrack Marketing Team possesses skills in graphic and web design, copywriting, editing, content marketing and social media marketing.
